About Me

I’ve been a net lurker for about a decade now, gone through many aliases, not made much of a mark and made plenty of stupid mistakes that make me cringe everytime I come across them. I’m generally only found as Demarthl these days, sometimes abbreviated as Dem or Demmy, for some reason people find it easier to call me Demmy, perhaps to soften my negative attitude and ‘hate-everything’ opinion. Other net handles I’ve used can vary, here’s a few; Yaggi, Jex, Karite, Demetrius, Makratok, Tyadren, WafflePirate (this one makes me laugh thinking about it) Kezzik, Keyaz, Zayek, Pirakika.  There are tons more but you can never think of them all when you want to, right?

I spend most of my time online idly watching anime after anime, or playing some gruelling grindfest of a game, most likely Silkroad. Albeit my time online is limited lately, due to my personal machine being broken for over half a year now, it worked breifly but abruptly broke down again. I’m not an avvid gamer, nor am I deep into anime as much as people would think, I generally can pick up anything and do it to well enough at an intermediate level, a jack of all trades is a master of none.

I have a terrible habit of skipping a few hundred tracks on winamp until I find one I’m in the right mood for and getting distracted from what I was doing. like writing this. I was brought up listening to The Prodigy, so that generally influences my outlook on life and everything else I do, though I do branch out to drum and bass, hip hop, industrial metal and jpop. Seems I’ve gotten soft as I’ve gotten older.

My real life isn’t anything to be admired, yet I’m not exactly displeased with it, I am unemployed, nor particularly ‘looking’ I earn my keep by being a caretaker of the house, pretty much, from cleaning to repair work, having a building qualification comes in handy for that much… I have a mediocre interest in parkour (or ‘free-running’ as some would call it) I spend all day at a computer or gaming so I’m not as healthy as I used to be, that’s just stamina really, but I’ve generally been a sprinter over a long distance type, I stand at 6ft (183cm) tall and weigh in at a mere 9 stone 4lb (131.6lb / 56.69kg) I look skinny, and apparently my BMI is dangerously low, it’s all down to my fast metabolism. another fun fact about me, I’ve an abnormal high pain threshold, to the point of not noticing when i hurt my hands or arms when doing rougher work, ie dealing with broken fences or heavy gardening. I generally have an ‘indifferent’ attitude about everything, I enjoy sitting back and watching as much as being involved. I like fire, fire is good. I have a hobby of collecting weapons, and am interested in trying to make them through blacksmithing and metal work. a fan of Megatokyo, the webcomic. my favourite colour would be crimson, black is a shade, not a colour. the two together are perfect. I’m 23 this year, and that’s probably more then anyone would want to know about me.
