up to 16mb on the max package.
I’d like to see the connection peak 4meg at least, I’ve been tweaking the settings, re-wiring and connecting the cables and scratching my head over this. honestly, I’m not impressed yet, it started out at 3.4mbp/s and it dropped to 1mbp/s last night. After re-routing wires and adjusting connections, it’s up to 1.5mbp/s.
I know what it is really. fucking ADSL. up to 16meg my arse, not through a goddam phone cable, sharing that cable no less. go back to cable modems, at least those fucking things fixed themselves with a quick power off/on, not to mention THEY ARE COMPATIBLE WITH NORMAL ROUTERS. ADSL is the worst possible ‘evolution’ of internet, it’s on succesful for the business, because it’s cheaper for them to distribute.
And honestly, this is Sky, Sky TV, Sky Phone, Sky Broadband, I was hoping they would hook up a goddam modem to the Dish on the side of the house, because that would fucking be better then this goddam netgear pile of crap. who even uses these pissy little phone cables anymore? come on!
I’ll give sky the benefit of the doubt, it’s not been a month yet, probably has to get ’settled’
they’ve already got one up on Tiscali, however; no downlaod limit, and they connection seems reliable, they actually send you a modem/router straight off, not a goddamn lump of plastic no bigger then the palm of a baby’s hand of which can’t even connect to the internet, let alone a freakin computer. an addition £50 just for the router version? fuck off!
