Wut

I got asked a question just now;

this person had asked me if star wars battlefront (1) would work on his xbox 360, as star wars battlefront 2 (original xbox) works fine. this would be true and dandy, if we had the battlefront 1 on original xbox. no, it’s a playstation game. He had asked me if he could play a playstation game on his xbox 360 ¬_¬

some people don’t deserve powerful consoles, especially ones who don’t even use them to full capacity, LIVE is there for a reason.

I mean, that question is like asking ‘Does the BNP party go out on a date with the conservative party?’ ‘Does England like Germany? does England even like itself?’

keyboards right here, hit it.

It seems it’s always reading someone elses updated blog that makes you go “awww fuck, I gotta do mine”

It’s been such a long time, how are you all? oh that’s right, there isn’t anyone >.>

Anyway, I’ve basically just been too lazy to think of anything to put into here that isn’t my usual droning to bother with an update, and I’ve been wanting to do other things anyway, those things, in the end, give me my usual droning to put into the update and it’s that usual droning you are about to receive, I am your lord and be truly thankful, Ramen. it really did sound like some wacky prayer. Thus what I’ve been up to, as you all know, Halo 3: ODST was released, right alongside the time the Left 4 Dead DLC ‘Crash Course’ came out. now I’m not lying on a mattress stuffed with 20 pound notes, so I went with priority and got the DLC Crash course, gained all the achievements within a day and have had a mass of fun with it, it’s short, sharp, a ton of variations to go, and the game can turn at any moment as there is only two chapters, some people complain it wasn’t worth the 560 Microsoft points (thats £5.60) I say to them, you should have stopped smoking at 14 you dumb prick, and you’d have gained your £5.60 back *ahem* anyway, to me, it’s well worth the effort, I enjoy leaping around and killing survivors in versus, but just as much fun is popping the special infected (SI) with a pump shotgun way out of range (lucky headshots). that said and done, I couldn’t really afford to get ODST just yet, not with Left 4 Dead 2 just around the corner (Nov 17th) but fortunately for me, my brother had pre-ordered it, played it by the time I could let go of crash course for an hour or two, and was quite content in lending it to me, Score! So I get to play ODST, I jump the chance, and launch straight into campaign, the graphics were lovely, and it was a nice dark atmosphere on Mombasa streets, the instances sometimes contrast that being in daytime, which is a nice break, and VISR mode is always handy, I loved how with each instance a cut scene shows how things ended up the way they were when you (The Rookie) find them. and all in all, you come to save the day, the team, and the pink thingy, the campaign based achievements were all fairly easy to get, minus vidmasters, but they’re supposed to be a challenge, which is a brilliant change from Halo 3 and it’s all matchmaking achv based crap where you need to play a map that never bloody shows up, not to mention game variants >.> the only disappointing aspect was firefight, you’d have thought bungie would push it into a matchmaking style so you can find a team playing the game, difficulty and map you want, but no, firefight is for you and your friends and their friends only, you have to know someone, or at least know their gamertag and invite them to play firefight with you.

not so great for a person that has no friends ¬_¬

so I ended up having to add random people to play with (Xbox forums) and pray they were good enough and didn’t lag to hell, to manage doing the achievements, some were, some weren’t, and some just wasted my time, some invited me, and then changed the game plan (Endure achv takes 2 hours +) so it got tiring, I have one achv left to get, a simple one, if people would actually play with me, 200k on chasm ten, that’s all i needed, and waited 3 hours for people to make a game, it was a good game, and it’s worth the buy (especially with its multiplayer halo 3 disk being required for the mythic maps now) but it does get repetitive, it’ll end up as a game you pull out to play when you and your mates have a gathering or a long gaming night.

that’s it for gaming, onto teh art! shock, yes, I’ve actually managed to do some, I can’t remember if I had mentioned vectors before *goes to look* yes, I did briefly, the Icki vector, anyway, since then I did a request for someone which took hours upon hours, I had plunged more detail into it then I did my longest rant, Alex Mercer from the game [PROTOTYPE] (which is awesome) I was weary of it, because it wasn’t the art style im used to, and i was new at vectors, but i pushed on none the less, I found that the more i tried on it, the better I thought it looked, and in the end, I had created a sweet little something that made me feel proud about my art for the first time, this, was Alex Mercer. after that I went back to gaming for a long while, and came across a post on AionArena by someone who wanted a sig made, based on Gaara from the anime Naruto, and gave a bunch of pictures as a resource to choose from, so I took up the challenge and grabbed my favourite of the bunch, which turned out to be the favourite of everyone else too ¬_¬ I stated I took up the challenge, and that was it for a long while, mentioned I had other things to do (gaming ^_^) eventually I came back to it, and compared to the work on Mercer, I spent a measly few hours completing this one, anime makes things so simple, and after completion I again felt proud of my result, I had less time spent on the work, but received no less feeling of satisfaction, maybe I’ve found my style. anyway, this guy wanted a signature made out and I only made the vector to use as a source for the sig, but the vector shows better what I had made. ’scuse DeviantArts ‘black background’ the images are supposed to be transparent, but dA doesn’t show it for some reason, this is also scaled down, so some quality is lost in the PNG. here it is, Sabaku no Gaara

and I think that puts me up to date, after i get this damn achievement on ODST I’ll be giving eternal sonata’s encore grind another bash, yay fun. Oh, if you want to add me, my GT is ‘Kezzik’ let me know you came from here, otherwise I’ll think you just want to play ODST with me xP

Anyway, I finally got around to trying out the game everyones crazy about these past couple of days, Aion. I didn’t feel all that interested in it at first, wasn’t particularly looking to play any grinders for a while, and i have a stockpile of stuff to do on other games. but none the less, I tried it out, and although a few things were a bit misplaced, it is seemingly already a well built game, graphics are nice, and the music is well integrated unlike many others, although the xp to level up is a bit steep for low levels compared to other games, it increases at a much nicer gradient then the korean grinders you’d expect it to resemble, after playing for a few hours I was already fairly competent with the interface and controls, and picking up my own little layouts, and today I got me some wings, gliding around is pretty fun, I just need to survive the Moogie initiation ceremony D:
although, I think, the open beta ends soon. I may not get this game straight away, but I’m pretty sure I will be playing it at some point in the future, it certainly has a lot to keep you occupied in it. :]
